You don't even need the glasses anymore. I sat through one with Angelina Jolie, can't remember the name of it, and it was weird. Down here they have the regular theatre and if you wanted they have the 3D version which I avoid. Very quiet here too, lots of movie watching since there is a dollar theatre 5 minutes from my house :) I don’t like watching 3D movies either. You don’t even need the glasses anymore. I don't think I can sit that long in a movie theater! LOL I have heard of some getting sick watching it through the 3d glasses. I get headaches pretty easy so I don't want to chance that.
