Yep, you know em, you love em way back from your childhood. At one point I thought these things were extinct as I had not seen them in like forever but yet here I am at work burning the hell out of my mouth sucking and chewing on one of these things. It always amazed me how quickly the heat of them disapated once I broke the sucker open and started chewing it up. Good thing I have strong and healthy teeth, must’ve been all those jaw breaker candies I practiced chewing up :) It will surely clean your sinuses though if your ever in need of that from the heat lol.

This got me thinking on some of the candy that I did have a teenager. I remember going to the ROTC office in high school and would have a selection of candy sticks to choose from for only 10 cents a piece. I think I lived off of those things because there were so many different flavors you could never get bored. Then my lunch would would consist of a Dr. Pepper, cheetos and a Mr. Goodbar all had from there. It’s a wonder I only weighed 105 lbs when I graduated considering that was my lunch day in and day out my senior year of high school.

What were some of your favorite childhood candies?

  2. Smarties! In third grade, I used to crush and snort Smarties like fine cocaine… it’d stay in my sinuses all day and I’d get to savour the flavour.
