AMD Takes on Intel

That’s right, AMD is claiming Intel’s a monopoly just like MS was charged with and you know what? They are in my opinion. AMD’s outperform and are more cost friendly than Intel based chips and yet companies still purchase them to use in their systems just like they prefer to sell you a PC with MS already installed which is hindering the open source programs which include linux. I have to use Intel chips at work because I don’t have a choice but I’ll be damned if there will be an intel chip in my house pc’s. It’s always the little guys who put out a good product that get hurt in all of this because they’re “not popular”.

MS verses open source (ie linux), AMD verses Intel. Everybodies got a preference and there is most likely no way to sway some of them even if they can save a helluva lot more money by going with the little guy. I hope AMD wins their lawsuit because they deserve a better shot and getting some contracts with larger compaines then when Intel comes in promising lower prices so they can get the contract. But you know what, I’ll bet anything the prices normal users pay are higher than should be to offset the discounts they’re giving to the companies whereas AMD’s prices are what they are and no hidden costs/fees.

  1. I’m a HUGE AMD fan, and only build my own computers with AMD chips. They are more cost effective and perform better for the $$$, in my opinion.

I hope AMD wins their lawsuit, too.
