UNT_091311_Title_bmb_v01.ai (1 page) You know I finally saw on the television where they were going to start showing these short episodes of the Untitled Jersey City Project on FX during a movie. I actually got excited when I saw that because at first I thought this was going to be just on the internet and you had to wait for the next episodes to come out. During the first episode we see a man plummet to his death from atop the Waterfront Stadium Project and what looked like to me a friend possibly getting framed for it. This is usually how it goes on murder mystery. The annoying part is having to wait through however many episodes to find out who was behind it and why.

Episode 2 makes it a little more interesting now that, Jane Kaplan, from The Ledger is asking quite a few questions regarding the project to Frank and Ray when who just happens to show up but Mr. Larry Tireman himself as Jane is bad mouthing him. Now this just so happens to be before Frank and Jane start getting busy in his car. From the ending it looks like Mr. Tireman is in the beginning of beating up Ray and then Ray ends up finding or tracking down Frank and busts the car window right before Jane and Frank start getting hot and heavy. It is one of those you see an ending and then go back in time to see how they actually met. Sometimes enemies become your best bed fellows. That usually always backfires though in my opinion and you should never try it. I think Jane will end up dead eventually from meddling too much where she ought not be considering this seems to be a high profile man and he most likely gets what he wants. Two episodes in and 6 more to go. Let's hope they are just as compelling. I could actually see this getting picked up by one of the networks like TNT. Are you guys keeping up?

Jersey City Project

UNT_091311_Title_bmb_v01.ai (1 page)You know at first reading the title I was thinking please not another Jersey Shore like the reality TV one because honestly I can't stand those types of shows. The Untitled Jersey City Project is something quite different thankfully. Watching episode 1 makes me think this might be one of the cop shows which I do find interesting. In Episode 1 you see the skylines of some buildings being built and a back drop of a man falling down one of the buildings. A missed phone call which always seems to happen before something tragic goes on with the person who ends up dying being the one leaving the message. Once the message has been heard and the person who received it goes to the place where the incident is at they end up being the suspect even though the cops were right behind them. Why is that? Looks like someone is being framed.

Even though it was only a couple of minutes it peaked my interest. The project definitely looks to be even better than some of the new show that have come out this fall as I have already written off a couple of them for being so lame. I think this might be one of those shows where we are to find out who has the most power or the most to lose if a project is not completed on time. Below is the video for Episode 1, check it out and tell me what you think. Do you think this Jersey City Project has any shot at the big time on nightly TV on any channel? Even if the local channels do not pick it up I could see one of the other ones would. This could have a great following if marketed correctly.

What’s that Saying?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hills Pet Nutrition for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Kids will eat you out of house and home. Well animals can go that too, especially if you have big animals. I have actually been a regular user of Hill's Pet Nutrition for years. When my cat was alive she was prone to frequent urinary tract infections as she was one of those pet store pets before they finally shut them down. The food was bite size and she would just inhale it when she ate. She did not need to chew it but of course some days she ended up tossing it back up with fur balls and go right back to the bowl to fill her belly up again.

The dogs, on the other hand, could eat me out of house and home as much as they eat. A 20 lb bag of food lasts almost 2 weeks. I always buy the diet food since one of them is pudgy. You can register now and receive $30 in coupon offers at Hill's Healthy Mobility Coupon. So if you are a little apprehensive in trying it now is a good time. As a bonus when you register to obtain the coupons you automatically get registered for the sweepstakes to win dog food for a year for FREE. There will be 30 winners selected to win free pet food for a year. Be sure to check out the Hill's Healthy Mobility Challenge in case you have an athletic dog. When Pepper was is in her prime she might have been able to compete in this but she will be 14 this year so let's let her just chase after the squirrels in the back yard. The Beagle, well, she'd need to lose like 15 lbs first. Of course I'd have to get her awake and off of the couch first.

Be sure you like Hill's Pet Nutrition on Facebook as well as get more information and updates. The main website has a lot of information about which food is geared toward your dog or cats needs. I remember the cat food I used had a different name than what it is now. I plan on adopting another cat soon and will go right back to buying Hill's Science Diet food again because I know it is good for them and I trust in their products.

Android Phones and Plans

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Android phones seem to come out every week. Just this week I got an email from my provider that a new Samsung phone was coming out. Having access to a simple operating system I guess makes for more phones especially when you do not have a patent on it. You can even get Android on Straight Talk with their great monthly plans. The "All You Need Plan" includes 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data. The unlimited plan includes includes calls, text, picture messaging, and web all for $45 a month. Both of these plans include free 411 for us lazy people. No activation or termination fees which are a big deal these days as people are trying to figure out if they need to leave T-Mobile because AT&T is trying to buy them out and go somewhere else.

For the klutzes in the family that break or lose phones, Straight Talk has reconditioned phones starting at $10.00. This is a great price for children starting out with phones. Don't fall Hook, line and sinker for some of the deals you see out there because I can guarantee they are not that good. Make sure to Call a friend and pass on this information because we all need phone capability for employers to call us for those jobs we have all been applying for. Not me per say though since I have a steady job but I have quite a few friends who are without a job and actually had a snafu about a month or 2 ago when his phone was not putting through the calls nor allowing the option to leave messages and this company wanted to hire him. He only found out about it all when he received a certified letter stating they had tried to contact him for a couple of weeks with no response back. I felt really bad because he has been out of work for almost 6 months now.

Effed Up Again

Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 | General with 1 Comment

So I finally obtained my school book that has been on back order for ages on the 12th. I have also been waiting forever to do my quiz 3 for one class. Upon signing on to the website you get a list of your courses as well as how many quizzes you have access to. Well, nothing was showing for this class so I never bothered to open up the class as there were no discussions for it either. Today I finally opened it up to the quiz section and low and behold I missed the damn quiz. The next 3 quizzes and full exam are due at the beginning of October. It didn’t even show exam 1 anywhere either. Somethings wrong here now as it just dawned on me about exam 1. We’ll see how long it takes for a response. So technically I’ve missed an exam and a quiz?

All my classes are messed up this semester in terms of the workload. One class the teacher keeps changing assignments and dates. Another one we can barely get a response out of the teacher much less any help. This semester sucks ass.

UPDATE: Got a response back from this prof in the class I missed a quiz and exam and he let me take them even though it was truly my fault for not paying more attention. I am just used to see the entire list of quizzes with deadlines and this class will not give you another one until you finish the one prior which is stupid. Just finished both. Got an A on my exam. I love having instant gratification on grades.

Milk-Bone Soft and Chewy

Wednesday, September 7th, 2011 | Animals, Health with 4 Comments

I’ve always hated shoving pills down animals throats when they need to take them. It is way easier on everybody if you hide it in food or biscuits. Since one of my dogs needs an allergy pill on a daily basis I was using cheese as the cover up while I searched for soft biscuits to shove it in. I swear soft biscuits are hard to come by for dogs. Soft cat treats no sweat but I really don’t want the dogs to have diarrhea from eating cat treats. I mean if they get diarrhea eating cat food why not cat treats.

Anywhoo, I finally found some soft and chewy dog biscuits. Milk-Bone to the rescue! I opted for the beef and filet mignon flavor. I swear the dogs think it is crack. I grab the bottle for the Claritin to open it and the dogs are all over me because they know it is biscuit time now and I need to be pretty damn fast getting my hands away from their mouths when they grab the biscuit because they essentially inhale them. I got the big container for about $15.00. I’m going to try the chicken flavor next but I have a feeling it may not go over as well as the beef flavor but we’ll see. It is a win win situation now though, one dog gets a free biscuit while the other one gets her medicine.

The downside is when I grab the bottle for my Zyrtec since Claritin doesn’t work anymore on me they think it is more biscuit time which it isn’t. You hear that dogs, one biscuit per day only!
