I love aloe plain and simple. It is the first thing I go for after hitting the beach or pool because I like my skin soft and smooth. I even bathe with soap and shower gel that has aloe or shea in it with the fragrance of vanilla or a pleasant flower smell because I like them. I also buy lip balm that has aloe in it. My lips get so chapped, cracked and split to the point where I will start chewing on them if they are not covered with anything. I literally have like 10-15 lip balms floating around my place, car, and office. I even have a couple in my bookbag that I carry with me to and from work with my school books in it so I can study. Recently I have been snubbed by this one company who does not make my brand of soap anymore so I am on the hunt for another brand now that will do just as good as that one had for around 5-6 years.

So I heard through the grapevine that the university was going to make it mandatory for every single person working here to have a flu shot. Whether you actually see patients or not makes no difference. I’d like to see them try to give me one. I think flu shots are a crock of shit just like the Gardasil vaccines they toot. These shots do not prevent you from getting sick so why say they will. People get sucked into believing anything. I also know quite a few people who have become deathly ill after receiving the flu shot too who also refuse to get them anymore.

So let’s review the punishment as it were if you do not receive a flu shot. You have to wear a mask for whatever they deem to be the length of “flu season”. That’s all well and good but who is going to check up these people to see if they truly are wearing a mask? I don’t see this one happening. Also, if you think about it, that’s infringing on a person rights. I could also see some lawsuits happening if they make a big stink about it too. What’s next mandatory sterilization? They can bite me for all I care.

Should be more like winter fashion for us since we do not really get a fall. Heck, I don’t think we really get a winter or spring some times too. It is mainly just summer and a very long summer at that. Since I’ve lost a lot of weight I’ve been more interested in better clothes, shall we say. Something with definition. Clothes that are way more classy than what I was wearing and lets just say it, more professional.

Liz Claiborne New York Outlets has a store down here where I live not more than 20 minutes from my house. I actually do not mind going to the stores now but I still despise trying on clothes. I’d rather buy them, take them home, and then try them on at my leisure. I have a coworker who loves shopping. She bought me some clothes after I started losing weight and I liked them very much. I decided why not let her buy more clothes for me. I just have to tell her what colors I like, what styles I prefer and viola. Clothes!

I’m still a little inept in buying the shoes mostly because I have very narrow feet and about 98% of the shoes are wide. My feet sweat in boots without socks so I have to make sure I buy a pair that can accommodate socks. I’m actually excited to go get some more boots for the fall/winter with the clothes that I bought last year and more I’m sure for this year because I only bought like a weeks worth of clothes and have to re wear them. I do need a couple pairs of boots because most of the slacks are black. I don’t know why they don’t make them in other colors like brown or blue or even burgundy.

You know I get tired of this state and all its inhabitants sometimes. I was reading a story on our local newspaper online when they had a picture of a brown widow spider as shown here, saying they are becoming more prominent in the area. For the love of all that is holy, why the hail do we have the unfortunate luck of having black and brown widow spiders? Can’t one species kill off the other and we just need to deal with one of them? I’m not sure what more mother nature can throw at me that I have to drum up courage to kill. These ones don’t have a poison as deadly as the black widow but still I don’t want to get bit by one. Do you? At least they aren’t as big as those banana spiders I had to kill in the back yard *shivers*

Just this morning I found mouse/rat turd on the kitchen floor again but that wasn’t the only place I found one on my couch too! That rat bastard has been migrating into the living room. This ones a brave sucker but soon to be dead sucker if I have my way. I put out some more rat poison just or him in the usual spot in between the cabinets and the fridge where the dogs cannot reach it. I’m hoping by tomorrow morning that green blob of poison will be moved into whatever area he seems to be hiding out in which is most likely underneath the cabinets like all the others and dies a fast death. I don’t care how much it stinks up the place so long as it dies. This will entail me having to remember to baby gate the kitchen for the night to make sure that if he pulls the poison blob out that it goes with him and he does not leave it in the middle of the floor so the dogs can eat it. That would be bad to say the least.

Most everybody I know has either DVRs or TiVos while I still bust out the VHS to tape 1 show at a time if need be although I haven’t done that in years because A. I never got around to watching the episode and B. the VHS is broken now but still plugged in because it would be too much work to undo it from the set up I have currently with the cable, DVD player, etc. It’s jacked up to say the least and I don’t even have a cable box. Just plain ole standard cable.

I’m way excited about the Fall TV line up but what ticks me off about the whole thing right now is that I won’t be able to catch most of the shows. Either they are on at the same time so I have to pick which one to watch for the entire season because I do not like watching one show one week and another show another week; or I just don’t have time because I am back in school again and slammed with homework since it pretty much all is homework since I do not physically go to class. They are all online classes. I was interested in checking out Hawaii Five-0, Undercovers, and The Defenders. Then my old favorites of course being Fringe and NCIS. I’m just glad the USA network and TNT has their new shows on the off season so they do not compete because I’d never catch up.

Last night I hear that Vick will now become the starter for the Eagles. All well and good since I don’t think Kolb can cut it but it should have never come down to it to begin with. As in they should have kept McNabb. But that’s my opinion obviously. And seriously Philly, why do a front cover like this? I mean he’s done his time and is trying to make better choices in his life now.

Sure Vick’s 3 years younger and technically he hasn’t been on the field as much due to the jail stent but he’s kept in shape. He’s learned, probably from McNabb, to stay in the pocket more instead of running all over the field. Lord we don’t need no damn Tebow on the team. Aside from that I think McNabb and Vick have similar ways of doing things even though ones a lefty and ones a righty.

Beyond the fact that McNabb got traded why trade him to a team in our same division no less? I seriously think Washington will make it to the divisionals this year because they have him now. Sure he hasn’t won us a superbowl and that’s what most people only care about but he did get us to many divisionals and won them so why stab him in the back?

Oh and I read also today that Hank Baskett was let go again. Well okay, he was traded last season but still. The poor fella can’t catch a break. I don’t even remember seeing him on the field of the first 2 games, games of which I only got to see when other games were done because I don’t have the NFL network Where is he going to go now?

LeSean McCoy is doing a damn good job replacing Westbrook though. Hopefully Westbrook does well in SF
