So I am still without a part-time job and with that comes finding ways to cut costs to be able to make it. One thing I am noticing is that I am continually seeing an increase in my combination cable internet, TV, and home phone service. I’m over $150.00/month now for the combination when people who are just getting the service are paying under $100.00/month. It’s beginning to bother me now when I could be saving at least $50.00/month which I could put toward a new set of tires because I’m almost sure they are getting ready to blow soon from being so old and the tread is worn down on it. I still say when the car went in for the clutch repair they went mudding in it as the alignment is all messed up too.
That being said Charter is having a Camaro Sweepstakes right now. You remember Charter, they were offering a free laptop a day for a while. The contest runs from September 15 through November 26 at noon. The Camaro you could win is a 2010 Camaro 2SS. I’d love one these babies and with the sales tax included you would not have to worry about paying that either. You are wondering well how the heck am I to have the chance to win this? You will need to go to the Charter site to register to win the Camaro. You can get also get a $100 gift card when you buy 3 Charter services, $50 gift card for 2 services, and $25 gift card when you buy 1 Charter service. So even if you do no win the Camaro you will get a prize as it were to use as you see fit when signing up with Charter.
Be sure to follow Charter on Facebook and Charter on Twitter to be sure you are up to date on all the happenings that this contest is bringing. Charter so needs to get their services down here so I could change my current provider to them and save some money as well as maybe win some prizes.

Well, so far this week we had to nurses out in our area for the swine flu when I had thought it was only 1. We had to call the hospital police because a 2-year-old ended up escaping the area but he was later found and then watched like a hawk because he kept trying to escape again.
You never want to be 4 minutes late to your shift when your boss goes cold turkey with cigarettes. You will be sent home as well as the girl who showed up 2 minutes late. Apparently if you are 2 and yell Go Steelers loudly though you will receive a buck from her.
When the dental practice gets moved to a new building on campus it would be nice to get some information on this as we don’t have to walk all over the place looking for it only to find at least one door that you have to walk all the way around to the front of the building because you can’t get to the part you need from the back. And I’m still trying to figure out why they just did not put a crosswalk on the 2nd floor attaching it to the other umpteen buildings so this could be alleviated. We can’t walk through the parking area because there is construction there now probably for another effin building when we need more parking.
You may or may not derive that this will be a discussion about twitter which I am becoming fond of now. No surprise really. I can spew a few lines out to the world at how frustrating or elated I can be.
Right now over at the Trick Or Treat Me site there is a twitter contest, as it is, to choose the scariest twitterer. Yes, I’m almost positive that is a word now. Also, by sending a Halloween tweet to someone Tetra Pak will make a donation of 10¢ to the World Wildlife Fund for every trick or treat we tweet out (up to $30,000). I always support causes that help the animals. If not us, who will help them in their time of need?
Along with Trick Or Treat Me on Twitter there is also a section for the kids regarding healthier treats for Halloween. I remember growing up after our Halloween haul we had to let our parents sift through the candy to make sure there was nothing else in there but candy and the homemade candies were always tossed out unless we specifically got them from neighbors and could prove it. Parents can never be too careful these days and anything prepackaged to hand out is always a plus. I remember getting more than just candy though such as raisins which probably was the closest thing to being somewhat healthy. Hershey’s and Organic Valley have made it easier for us this year when handing out treats as they have prepackaged “on-the-go” boxes of milk in white, chocolate, or strawberry. This way they can have that added boost of something good to nourish their bodies other than sugar.
Other than Halloween and special occasions treats, in my opinion, should not be that prevalent in the diets of children. We should be teaching them better eating habits for the future instead of starting them off with bad eating habits now that could cause problems later on in life whether it is weight verses something medical. Tetra Pak will also donate 10¢ (up to $30,000) to the WWF every time someone shares their applications via facebook, twitter, and the web. Let’s help out the wildlife and get our kids more healthy snacks in the process.

Okay, whomever can correctly identify this for me gets a cookie. I have a tree in the backyard that dumps loads of these on the ground and when I mow them over when they are still green like this I get red marks and bruises on my legs from it hitting me when the lawnmower spits out the chunks. The nut looking ones are what is left once the outside has turned brown and you break it open.
Been ripping apart ant hills lately too. Is it only a certain time of year when the big ole mounds start popping up everywhere?
Still no joy from the trash people picking up those tree limbs. I have GOT to remember to call them about that because I sure as heck don’t have a truck to cart those things off.
I have and I’ve actually been trying to find her. We are going to be having our 20 year high school reunion next year and hopefully she will come to that as she did not show up for our 10 year reunion like I had hoped. We were best friends in high school and I still can’t figure out why we lost touch once we graduated because we were best friends all through out high school. If I wasn’t at my house I was always at hers. It is odd how things like that happen when you graduate isn’t it?
I actually have an account at MyLife because I want my classmates to be able to find me. I just recently did another search on there for my BF and low and behold there she was listed on there and still in the area which shocks me because I hadn’t been able to find her before so maybe she just got online to put up her profile as well. At least I can hope so. Now I just need to pay the fee and see if she will reply to me if indeed that is her.
You know it’s funny, I just pulled my graduation year of high school and I cannot remember some of those people listed. Any of you have that same thing happen? I never really was one for the dating scene back then so I’m not sure there really is anyone that I would consider a lost love but I wonder how many people there really are that would like to find those lost loves from high school. I see movies about it but really how many people out there does this happen with? I’m actually looking for to the reunion next year to see how many people have changed and hopefully more will show up than the last one.

Yep, that’s what I’m calling it. We had 2 more kiddos come in with bugs today but they tested negative for influenza even though they looked closer to death from a kids version of it lol Later that day though we had word that one of the nurses was tested positive for swine flu so she’s out for the week. Apparently she got sick last Friday but thankfully we did not have clinic that day and had no contact with her. We are still waiting for our supply of the flu shot which is irking tons of people but they are passing them out to the smaller practices first and then the hospitals.
I still need to get more people in our football pool around here. Just wish the people who say they want to play actually play then it would be great cuz we could potentially have at least 10+ people verses the 3-5 that normally play every week which is variable.
