The camp theme this year was Pirates and Princesses as evident to the entrance of the prom on Thursday night before everyone left. Yep, the kids get a prom every year they are there. Dresses get donated to the camp every year so the girls can pick out the one that they would like to wear and one of the nurses will stay up as long as possible to do a quick sewing job on them so that the girls can wear them and I tell you she does an excellent job. The bonus is that the girls get to keep each of their dresses and most of them if not all are brand spanking new. I saw the tags on some of them and they ranged anywhere from $800 to $1600. I was in shock. The boys got to wear cumber buns but I don’t think they were allowed to take those home. I spent most of the prom on the other side of the hall watching cartoons with some of the little ones. You can’t beat Looney Tunes you know. 
One night there was a carnival and they had a hot air balloon tethered to 3 trucks and took the kids and adults up for rides. I wish I had been able to get on that thing but I was running after 2 very active 6-year-old’s lol Once they hit the jump castle though it was all over. They must have spent at least an hour in there total and were ready for bed soon after. Good thing the little one was on the bottom bunk too because she ended up falling out of her bed that night and all she wanted when I helped her back in was her pillow because it went with her to the floor. She also had a visit from the tooth fairy one night as she lost one of her baby teeth while at camp and boy was she excited when she received a dollar for her tooth lol
