I wouldn’t say I’m chef material but I can make my way around recipes and the kitchen.
2. Why do you buy the size eggs that you buy?
I get the large or extra large because I feel anything else is just to wimpy lol
3. Do you have any cooking “rules”?
I have my own personal rule of cleaning as I go and it actually annoys some people because I will clean the pots/pans right when I’m done cooking when they want to eat and I tell them go ahead and eat but I can’t until I do this lol My pots/pans can’t go in the dishwasher as they are Calphalon.
4. Fresh corn. Yellow, white or bicolored?
I like the mix or plain yellow.

Yes I know I”m a day late but I was busy with my new blackberry yesterday getting it all set up

1. Do you celebrate Memorial Day with a picnic, cookout, road trip or some other way?
I don’t celebrate it at all, sometimes I have to work sometimes I don’t. It’s just another day in my opinion.
2. What are staples at your summer time cookouts?
Hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, salad.
3. What drink do you find most refreshing on a hot summer day?
Raspberry Ice Crystal Light
4. Share a recipe for a picnic side dish.
Potato salad: Boil some potatoes, mayonnaise, cucumbers, pickle relish, sweet relish, touch of mustard, boiled eggs, shredded carrots. That’s what I like in mine but you can put almost anything in it.

So said the owner last night, they will be done with the roof in one day, my ass. I get home and there are shingles EVERYWHERE with a nice cart in MY driveway to where I cannot park. I then mention to one of them that they need to move the stack of shingles in front of the gate so I can close it because I have two dogs I need to let out. Well, he took his sweet time then I had to stand out there because some of them were on the roof and Pepper was barking and charging the guy. I mean heck he was in HER yard but I didn’t need a scene with her.

Now my choir tomorrow I think will be to pick up all the nails they yanked out of the roof with the old shingles so the dogs don’t get one stuck in their paws. What a freaking mess.

I could have sworn that Vegas was the entertainment capital but maybe it is just the gambling capital. Well, after reviewing the Entertainment and Attractions section of the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel I stand corrected in that they might be the entertainment capital just due to the sheer volume of shopping. The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing has 110 stores that would probably take at least a week if you did non stop shopping to get through, maybe even longer for all I know. I’m not sure I’d last if that was all I had to do.

Right now Hilton has quite a few special packages available with some nice discounts that could go from 20-30% in various parts of the country or on the outskirts because you could book for Jamaica. Now who could refuse getting a great discount from there?

I like making a list of things to do and usually with one major trip each day of activities because after all a vacation is supposed to be relaxing right? I was already planning this weekend to the beach and I think that might not happen because it might rain which I had no clue about until a friend told me. So now I may have to rethink what I should do since I have a 4 day weekend. Vacation plans might include:

1. Shopping some of the local stores with arts and crafts, and nick knacks.
2. Walking through some local gardens.
3. Checking out the local amusement parks.
4. Walking through a local zoo.
5. Finding some eclectic restaurants.
6. Local museums especially if they are about Egypt.

Try one of those activities each day and you pretty much have the fulling days as well as not tiring yourself out because after all, my vacations at least, are to be relaxing instead of being stressful.

I wish there was some inkling of how bad a day was going to get when you wake up because I sure could have used that yesterday. First, I woke up at 5 AM and could not get back to sleep which is no surprise because that happens a lot. I mean today I was up at 4 AM and couldn’t go back to sleep. Yesterday, our nurse was on vacation and it was just me and the boss man in clinic with one overpacked schedule. At least lunch was delivered for free, pizza, yeah. Clinic runs over late as per usual because he likes to chit chat with the people instead of moving along. One of the last ones for the day was the longest because the childs father also happened to be a physician and then I sort of got a hint that it sure was a nice place to live in his city if I ever wanted to move down there. *hint*hint* possible job offer lol I still need about 1 1/2 years here though for my 20 in the system.

So, I get out of work late and on the way home this mother of all rocks SLAMS into my windshield and immediately spreads into about 8 different ways from the impact. Holy f***! I immediately dig for the insurance companies number and report it and they can’t get to me until Thursday but the way it’s looking I may end up with a new windshield because at least one of the other patches he did looked like it was spreading to me. My windshields took a beaten because of all the construction on the interstate. I’ll find out Thursday how it went lol

So I get to the gym for my class last night and they had the door wide open with a fan blowing air out of the room. At first I figured the AC was broken which would not have been too terribly bad due to the ice room they usually keep it as but nope, we had a paint thinner issue. So we were going to get high as we worked out woo hoo

Head off to the local hangout for a chef salad and get bombarded about what happened to the guy I was seeing, bla bla bla. Starting texting him that they were getting nosy.

Anywhoos, I get home after 9 PM. I get a call from the owner of the duplex who lives next door a little after 10 PM stating that Pulliam was coming to the place tomorrow to rip off the roof and put a new one on. Whaa? Talk about giving someone some warning. They still need to get into my utility room to fix the mold issue there and guess what I’m not home because that just isn’t enough time to get a day off of work. They can wait until Friday to get in there when I’m off but now I have to worry about running over nails in my driveway which I can’t afford because the tires on my car are bald and it would blow up immediately and I have no money to replace them.

Well, it is just 3 short weeks now before I head off to Tennessee with 5 kids for our kidney camp and less than 5 days before I can go pick up my new Blackberry Curve and switching services to AT&T. I am actually not minding these furlough days off as a requirement but the hit in my salary is rough and I still haven’t found a part-time job yet. All of this is going to hinder me getting any sort of vacation this year or for that matter past years too since the last time I actually had a vacation was when I went to a timeshare with a friend down to Florida, oh I don’t know, maybe close to 6-7 years now. It is all about the money you know but sometimes you get lucky and win a free vacation.

I like to take my vacations at a slow pace in doing maybe 1 big thing a day like on the first day going grocery shopping for the week. Then another day maybe going shopping, hitting the water parks or theme parks. Of course each of those days though you need to hit the local pool for some sun and then maybe have dinner at a local spot. All of this though entails some amount of money. Kissimmee is giving away 3 weekend getaways for two and 2 week long getaways for four. Now I wouldn’t mind either one of those personally but I’m sure I’d have a heck of a time finding someone to go with me considering I’m not really dating anyone and I’m not sure which friends I could tolerate for a full week much less a weekend.
